Lattern Parade – South Molton Winter Wonderland

South Molton Business Association is proud to sponsor our local schools and we are highly delighted that the Lantern Parade tomorrow evening is going to be a mass of colour and light.

South Molton and its surrounding parishes definitely have a good supply of creative children, if the sample below is anything to go by…

We would like to thank all the pupils and teachers who are taking part in tomorrows parade – your effort is appreciated.

Autumn Extravaganza – Friends of South Molton Community College – October 2017

Friends of South Molton Community College Autumn Extravaganza event  will be taking place Thursday 19th October, between 6pm and 9pm .

‘The purpose of The Friends of SMCC is to raise funds to support our students and we are presently a small group of dedicated staff and parents who give up their own time to run events including school reunions, and Christmas and Summer Fairs.

As I am sure you are aware, we moved into our new school building earlier this year, and we would like to showcase our wonderful new building as well as promote local business and enterprise. With this in mind we intend to have an “Autumn Extravaganza – Showcasing Local Business and Enterprise” evening on Thursday 19th October, between 6pm and 9pm where we hope local businesses will have a small stall in our Atrium advertising their products and services. Each business/stall holder will have to pay £10 for their pitch, but anything they sell or take on the night will be theirs. This will be a fantastic opportunity for your members to promote their businesses in that vital run up to Christmas.

We hope to combine this with an Open Evening so that members of the community can have tours of our new school, along with refreshments and a raffle, so we’re hoping that the event will attract many local families. Because this will be a family event we do ask that businesses refrain from serving alcohol. We also hope to have a small number of side rooms available for demos e.g. massage or beauty therapies.

If anyone would like more details or would like to book a pitch, they can contact us on friends@smcc.devon.sch.uk
